Roland ArnoldBlackRock Investment Management
Roland, Director and Portfolio Manager, is a member of the UK Equity Team within the Fundamental Equity division of BlackRock's Alpha Strategies Group. He has been co-manager of the BlackRock UK Special Situations Fund since August 2012, and manager of Small and Mid-Cap UK Equity portfolios since 2006. He is also responsible for the analysis of the UK’s Diversified Financials sector.
Roland's service with the firm dates back to 2000, including his years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), which merged with BlackRock in 2006.
Georgina BrittainJ.P. Morgan
Georgina, Managing Director, is a senior portfolio manager for Small and Mid-Cap funds within the J.P. Morgan Asset Management European Equity Group. She is the fund manager for the JPM Life UK Small Cap Fund, the JPM UK Smaller Companies Fund, the J.P. Morgan Smaller Companies Investment Trust and co-manager for the J.P. Morgan Mid Cap Investment Trust. She is also a co-manager for J.P. Morgan’s range of European Small-Cap funds. An employee since 1995, Georgina was previously an analyst in the UK research department. Georgina obtained an M.A. in Classics from Oxford University, and earned a Diploma in Law from City University, London. She is a qualified barrister.
Julian joined Liberum on its foundation in 2007 and has led the UK Mid and Small-Cap Equity Sales team since 2013.
He joined from Cazenove, where he spent eleven years in a variety of sales roles in London and New York.

Arun has over 14 years’ experience covering the Technology sector. During this time, he has worked with technology start-ups and as an equity analyst in investment banks and independent research firms. He is currently the Managing Director and co-founder of Global Equity Research. He was formerly a Technology Analyst for Canaccord Genuity, Altium Securities, Espirito Santo Investment Bank, Noble Group and Clear Capital. He has a Dual Master’s in Financial Engineering and Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan. He obtained his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Adam is a Partner in the Global Corporate Practice and Head of Capital Markets (UK). He has extensive experience in a variety of international corporate transactional and advisory work, focusing in particular on equity capital markets transactions and private and public companies operating in the Mining and Oil and Gas sectors. Prior to joining Squire Patton Boggs, Adam spent a number of years as a senior lawyer in the corporate energy and natural resources team of a large global law firm, based in London, and before that in the corporate team of an Australian national firm. His experience covers a wide range of corporate transaction structures across a number of industries and jurisdictions, and he has a particular focus on sub-Saharan Africa, central Asia and the Middle East.

Marian is a founder Director of Makinson Cowell, which is a capital markets advisory team within KPMG’s Advisory Services. Marian has over 30 years’ experience in capital markets, having worked as a broker’s analyst for seven years at Hoare Govett prior to the formation of Makinson Cowell. She advises companies in the UK, France and Germany on all aspects of their relationships with investors and spreads her time between New York, the home of the world’s largest capital markets, and Europe.
Ian RestallFlathill Communications Group plc
Ian is the founder of the PLC Awards. Throughout his career, Ian has been involved in the quoted growth companies sector. His early career was as a stockbroker, analyst, broadcaster and financial journalist in this area and, since founding Design Portfolio in 1991 (where he is currently Executive Chairman), he has been active in helping many companies with their investor communication and corporate reporting requirements. Ian is also Chairman of Flathill Communications Group plc, President of The Design Portfolio Marketing Services Inc. and a member of the Investor Relations Society.
Stuart WiddowsonOdyssean Capital
Stuart is the Managing Partner of Odyssean Capital, which he founded in 2017. He has spent the last 17 years investing in public and private UK small and mid-size corporates and a further two years providing investment advice in the same field.
Prior to founding Odyssean he was a Director and fund manager at GVQ Investment Management. In 2009, he became lead fund manager of Strategic Equity Capital plc. Over the following seven years, he was instrumental in driving a turnaround in the performance and fortunes of this closed-ended fund.
Stuart began his career as a strategy consultant undertaking commercial due diligence and strategy projects for Private Equity and corporate clients. In 2001 he joined HgCapital and spent five years executing small and mid-cap leveraged buyouts in the UK and Germany, including working on a number of public to private transactions of UK quoted companies.

Gervais manages a number of funds with Martin Turner that aggregate to over £1.5bn, including the Diverse Income Trust plc. He is also Senior Executive Director at Miton Group plc, the independent listed fund management group that has a reputation for offering strategies that are distinctive from most others. His fund management career extends over nearly 30 years including 17 years with Gartmore Group Ltd, where he was Head of UK Small Companies investing in UK smaller companies and Irish equities. He was awarded Investor of the Year by Grant Thornton at its Quoted Company Dinner in both 2009 and 2010 and Fund Manager of the Year 2014 by What Investment. Gervais is Chairman of the Quoted Companies Alliance, a Board member of the Investment Association and a member of the AIM Advisory Council. He published “Slow Finance” in 2011, “The Future is Small” in 2014, and “The Retreat of Globalisation” at the end of 2016.
Matthew has over twelve years investment banking experience providing technical expertise to both AIM and Main Market companies. Most recently he was Head of Metals and Mining at Peel Hunt, where he was responsible for ECM, advisory work and franchise development within the natural resources space. He joined Berenberg in January 2018 as a Director to further develop and broaden its UK ECM and Corporate Broking service.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, having trained at PricewaterhouseCoopers within the assurance and advisory units, and holds a first-class degree from King’s College London in Business Management.

Kit Atkinson is Head of IPO Execution with responsibility for originating and executing initial public offerings with a particular focus on significant, innovative or wide-ranging appointments.
Kit has nearly 20 years’ experience in the equities industry, working in UK equity capital markets since 2005, during which time he has been responsible for the operational execution of some of the highest-profile and largest fundraising corporate transactions in the UK.
Prior to joining Link, Kit spent twelve years working for J.P. Morgan Cazenove, most recently as a Vice President.
Kit is a member of several industry forums, including the Stock Events Working Party and the UK Market Implementation Group.
Andy is co-head of the Schroders Pan-European Small and Mid-Cap Team. His investment career commenced in 1987 when he joined Schroders as a UK Equity Fund manager, becoming co-head of the UK Small-Cap Team in 2002. He joined Price Waterhouse in 1985, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
Andy has a degree in Economics.
Richard is founder and Managing Director of RD:IR, an independent global investor relations consultancy, offering a wide range of IR related analysis, research and advisory services to over 630 UK and international public companies.
As well as providing IR counsel, Richard has run many pioneering research projects across the global financial markets.
Richard was Chairman of the UK Investor Relations Society from 2009 to 2011 after acting as Deputy Chairman for the previous five years. He was a Board member of the society for ten years, contributing greatly to the development of the society’s education, events and social programmes. Richard remains active within the society, sitting on the Events, Conference and Policy Committees, as well as the society’s Examination Board for its Certificate in Investor Relations. Richard was awarded Honorary Fellowship of the society in 2016.
Richard is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (City and Financial Group); the All Party Parliamentary Corporate Governance Group; the International Corporate Governance Network; the Shareholder Voting Working Group; and sits on the Development Board of the charity Missing People.
Alex HardwickeN+1 Singer
Alex has been a UK Small and Mid-Cap equity salesman since 1995. Prior to joining N+1 Singer, he was Head of Equity Sales at both Charles Stanley plc and Altium. His 20 years in UK equities has led to strong relationships with fund managers and listed companies alike and he has been rated the No.2 Small-Cap and the No.5 Mid-Cap equity salesman in Extel. He has a BSc in Psychology from Exeter University and is a keen sportsman and regularly plays hockey, cricket and golf.
Max joined Stifel in September 2013 as Head of European Healthcare Equity Research. Prior to this, he was Chief Financial Officer of Silence Therapeutics plc. Max possesses more than 20 years of biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry experience, having held key management positions with leading development-stage companies, as well as establishing several highly rated equity research teams at a number of investment banks.
Max holds a BSc. in Microbiology from the University of Kent and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen.

Ben started his career at Winterflood Securities in 1996, having graduated from Loughborough University. After a two-year secondment to Close Brothers Equity Markets in Paris, specialising in European Small Cap, Ben returned to London as a Sales Trader. Having run the Sales Trading department between 2008 and September 2016, he is now Head of Client Sales and Business Development for Winterflood.

Bogdan is a Vice President within Citi Commercial Bank, which provides a gamut of banking solutions for both private and public mid-market companies. He is most passionate about emerging technologies within the Energy, Power, Technology and Telecommunications sectors.
Previously, he worked in the regional Treasury and Trade Solutions Sales team in London, Paris and Zurich, where he was responsible for developing innovative cash management and working capital solutions to help treasury and finance departments of multi-national corporations optimise their banking processes.
Bogdan holds an M.A. (Hons.) degree from the University of St. Andrews, UK, where he studied International Relations, Economics and Philosophy. He is fluent in English, French and Romanian and has a handle on Italian, Japanese and Spanish.

David is a fund manager with Amati Global Investors, an Edinburgh-based specialist in UK Mid and Small companies, running products including an OEIC, AIM Venture Capital Trusts and an AIM IHT portfolio service. Previously he was a founding Partner at Cartesian Capital, managing UK long-only and long/short strategies, and prior to that he was Assistant Director at another investment boutique SVM. David started his career at KPMG, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant, latterly specialising in corporate finance, before moving into Private Equity with Dunedin.
